Mr. Hamilton is from Yorktown, Virginia and is a graduate of Virginia State University where he received the Bachelor of Music degree. He was a member of the Marching Trojan Explosion band as a member and section leader of the drum line. Furthering his studies, he attended the University of Louisville where he received his Masters of Music Education degree. While at Louisville, Mr. Hamilton was selected to be an assistant percussion instructor for the Marching Cards as well as a graduate assistant to teach percussion methods courses. Now, Mr. Hamilton is an Assistant Band Director and Percussion Instructor at Hampton University. Mr. Hamilton is a Charter member and alumni to the Sigma Zeta (VSU) Chapter of Phi Mu Alpha, Sinfonia Fraternity of America, Inc., an alumni of the Zeta Psi (VSU) Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity, Inc., and an alumni of the Lambda (UofL) Chapter of Pi Kappa Lambda National Music Honor Society.
